My office has some unique power issues now and then. I am not sure but it looks to be something affecting older hardware. Now, is that something Google is doing with Chrome or is this an anomaly in the way Windows is dealing with this older graphics driver? which means that the latest Win 10 update has indeed damaged that which used to work. Indeed, that did make the black squares go away. Yes, what you need to disable is Hardware Acceleration in the Web Browser Other than letting others know that if you have this graphics card you may run into problems, any thoughts as to a fix for a six year old laptop? It's in pretty great shape otherwise. in fact, the last (and latest) driver version (9.) was actually labeled as Win 7 but was made available after Win 10. This chipset is no longer supported by Intel. It passed muster when I did the original upgrade from Win 7 and I've never had any issues with any other Win 10 update. This laptop uses an integrated Intel HD Graphics 3000 chip. I've got a Toshiba Portege R830, manufactured in 2012. Now I've got 2 inch black squares present on many web page renderings.
